Yes, you can still get this super-fast SSD deal at its Prime Day price, but I don't think it's going to stay this cheap for long

I was over the moon when I spotted the Corsair EX400U 4TB portable SSD on sale for $300 (was $360) at Amazon for Prime Day, and I've even happier now to see it's still available at that price right now.

High-capacity storage space isn't the only reason I like this SSD. See, this is a USB4 drive, so it's faster than most of the SSDs around. My colleague Mark took the 2TB model for for a spin and benchmarked read/write speeds of up to 4056 MB/s and 3630 MB/s respectively using CrystalDiskMark.

In the end, he awarded it 4.5 stars in his review, praising it as a genuinely high-speed external SSD and saying, "unless you want a more flexible caddy solution or hardware encryption, the Corsair EX400U is the drive to be using on USB4."

You can check out the deal below. But I expect this is going to change soon, so you'll want to jump on this if you're looking for one of the few remaining Prime Day SSD deals around.

With a 4TB capacity, the EX400U offers loads of storage for videos, documents, photos, and even games. The selling point of this SSD is really its 4,000MB/s read speed and 3,600MB/s sequential write - so if you need to be quick - this is our recommendation. It's compact and lightweight, and will be compatible for pretty much any hardware you can throw at it.

The 4TB is a very good amount of storage, especially for the discounted price. 4TB can store around 40 films and 80,000 pictures - so it's more than enough for the average user.

In his review, my colleague Mark said, "the Corsair EX400U portable SSD is what we’ve all been waiting for, and it delivers the performance I’d hoped for. Such a massive leap in speed over Gen 2 or even Gen2x2 that it’s impossible to ignore."

If it also had hardware encryption, it would quite possibly be the best around - especially with this much storage capacity.
